UGA Football Practice vs. My List

March 26, 2008 · 2 Comments

University of Georgia football first day of spring practice
.

Earlier this month I wrote some about how it works being media at UGA’s football practices.

Earlier this month I mentioned these all mighty Lists (and their pros and cons) that sports desks give to photo desks who give to you the photographer. Here’s yer guys, go get em.

Monday at practice I had a list.

Meaning…

Monday at practice I had a impending migraine and 15 minutes to find 3 guys in a mess of over 100 somewhere in more than 4 football fields worth of territory. They might not actually be out there, they might not be wearing their actual numbers and it’s possible there might be 3 guys out there all wearing that same number.

Didn’t work out so well for me.

Clean, functional, boring. And will probably cropped into oblivion in layout.

… just wait until the list is 6 or 7 and then you’re asked “Did you get a shot of Richt or Bobo as well”???

The irony is the leaks coming out of practices come from inside UGA’s atheltic or sports comm. department.
