Dear Friends and Gentle Hearts…

I apologize for the absence, Spring Break started for me at exactly 10 a.m. Friday before last and I subsequently fell off the face of the planet. I turned my computer off for a week, didn’t shave my legs, didn’t pick up my camera (Kelly did tho), and I slept a lot. It was pretty cool.

Oh, and a nice boy named Mark gave me a present.

Yep, that’s what you think it is.

If you haven’t guessed, this has completely upset the Natural Order of Things and causing mass confusion and occasional bursts of hysteria, so far by everyone but me, and I don’t think it’s going to stop anytime soon.

Ha. Don’t I just love keeping everyone on his or her respective toes. Happy Spring Break to me.

Making these photos was quite an experience – especially the part where I was interrupted by a very rude tornado.

A ring flash (is that a pun in this case?) would have been helpful here, but I don’t have one, so… I made do with a SB-800 speedlight on a SC-28 cable coupled with a Mag-Lite and a 40 watt desk lamp. Minimal processing, the background for these was my black glass top desk.

I feel like in this case I should post some kind of happy photo in addition to these, but I have absolutely zero pictures of us together. Which makes tons of sense, I know, since I’m a photographer and all.

Oh, and for the love of Pete, I. AM. NOT. PREGNANT. Please stop asking. Kthx.
