I forgot how hard it is to shoot baseball. Especially at 5:30 p.m. when the sun is going down and the outfield is like four stops brighter than home plate. Especially especially when the team you’re shooting is winning by 14 runs and despite that… Nothing. Exciting. Is. Happening.
The Diamond Dogs played the Jacksonville Gamecocks. Correction. Diamond Dogs completely slaughtered the Gamecocks 19-1. I didn’t get to see the end because photo desk was getting restless, but I bet it wasn’t pretty.
Georgia had six home runs, two of those by Gordon Beckham and one a grand slam by Michael Demperio. Jack State went through six pitchers.
