UGA Womens Tennis vs. Clemson

February 22, 2008 · 1 Comment

Shot some womens tennis for the R&B on Wednesday. This is the second time I’ve ever shot a tennis match. The first time was indoors and such a horrifying experience I still shudder when thinking about it.

I’d like to think this turned out better. These two matches were side-by-side. And none of the opposing team, this time.

Ha. It’s kinda like getting your haircut. If all else fails… layer.

I love shooting Dancevic. She’s so… gazelle-ish. More bouncy than the others. Reminds of a good friend of mine who I ran the mile with on the H.S. track team. She was actually a ballerina, just ran for fun. Had a very distinct spring off her toes in her step. I wonder if Dancevic ever danced.

Both doubles teams here lost to Clemson. Georgia (No. 4) was behind when I left, but apparently the won the last two singles matches and squeaked by Clemson (No. 18) to win 4-3, extending the Bulldog’s regular home court winning streak to 23 matches.

The doubles matches – all 3 of them – lasted an exhausting 1.5 hours. I wanted to stay for singles, but I needed to get back to the office, and I was starting to feel like garbage again (darn you, flu *shake fist in air*), so I just headed back to the Photo Corner at the R&B.
